Why we built this the way we did

Before writing a single page of this site, we went through every restoration company ranking in this market and read what they publish. The strongest competitor here is a national franchise whose title tag names a town sixty miles away and whose homepage headline contains neither a service nor a city. The next several are three-page sites with a toll-free number and no address.

None of them publish a price range. None of them have an FAQ. None of them have a blog. And not one of them has a single page about a Lafayette neighborhood — not Happy Valley, not Burton Valley, not Reliez Valley, not the Reservoir.

That is the gap. Not equipment, not certification — local specificity and plain answers. So that is what this site is: 16 focused water services, 46 areas written on their own actual risk profile, and 46 guides that say what we would say on the phone.

What we actually do

Water only. We do not chase fire damage, duct cleaning, biohazard or graffiti removal. A national franchise lists twenty services because it needs to fill a template across two thousand locations. A single-city specialist is better served by doing one thing across every failure mode it takes in this particular housing stock.

And this housing stock has a very specific set of failure modes. Mid-century copper at pinhole age. Water heaters in attached garages, with the water crossing under the shared wall into the hallway. Coast live oak roots in clay sewer laterals on the wooded lots. Hillside runoff into crawl spaces that nobody opens for months. Slab leaks in the flatter tracts. We work all of those every week, and the pages on this site are written from that rather than from a template.

How we run a job

One project manager from the first call to the last coat of paint. Moisture mapping and a written dry standard set against unaffected material in your own building. Equipment sized to the load and set on the first visit — never “we will come back tomorrow to set up”, because overnight is a third of the mold window. Daily documented readings from marked points. And the job finishes when the numbers say it does.

We bill your insurer directly, and we build the evidence file from the first hour: moisture map, daily logs, full photo set, and a line-item scope in the format adjusters already work in. When a line item gets questioned, we defend it with readings.

What we will not do

We will not quote a firm price over the phone, because nobody can scope a water loss without walking the property and taking readings. We will not cut out drywall we have not tried to dry first. We will not tell you a floor is finished before we have shown you the readings. And we will not take a job in Livermore at 2 a.m. when someone in Livermore can be there in fifteen minutes — we will tell you that instead.

Verify us

Licensing and certification

Verify any restoration contractor against the California Contractors State License Board lookup before signing anything — including us.

CSLB licensed & insured

A licensed California contractor carrying general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. An unlicensed crew that damages your home leaves you holding it, and an uninsured one leaves you holding an injury.

Our CSLB license number is published in the footer of every page as soon as it is confirmed for this site. We do not print a number we have not verified.

IICRC-certified technicians

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification sets the standards this trade works to. Our crews carry:

  • IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
  • IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD)
  • IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)

What we bring

The equipment, and why each piece is on the truck

Restoration is applied physics. These are the tools that make it measurable rather than a matter of opinion.
Truck-mounted and portable extraction units
Sustained vacuum lift and weight, so water comes out of the pad rather than off the surface.
Submersible pumps
Bulk volume out of crawl spaces, garages and lower levels before extraction starts.
LGR dehumidifiers
Keep pulling water out of air that is already fairly dry — exactly the condition at the end of a job.
Axial and centrifugal air movers
Broad surface airflow, and focused streams for wall bases, cavities and under floated carpet.
Specialty mat and cavity drying systems
Dry hardwood and wall assemblies through small ports rather than removing the finish.
HEPA air scrubbers and negative air machines
Containment and airborne particulate control on Category 2 and 3 work.
Pin and pinless moisture meters
Non-destructive scanning plus penetrating readings in framing.
Thermal imaging cameras
Map wet areas inside assemblies and locate hot-water leaks before anything is opened.
Thermo-hygrometers
Ambient conditions inside and outside the drying chamber, logged daily.
Acoustic and tracer gas leak detection
Pinpoint a slab or wall leak to within about six inches so one small opening is made.
